The Goddess and The Guardian

Here lies a modern adaption,
Of a Zeus and his Athena.
How a man refused to take action,
acting coy as his heart grew keener.

You see, he was a fine warrior,
but, his soul was not as strong.
He would often pass her in the corridor,
for a second, or two, then she's gone.

holding a strong reputation,
but our prince, feels inferior.
he brung himself, not, to express sensation,
and now his heart break aches wearier.

Now all he can do, is watch over her,
because his chance for more, has gone.
his head's a mess, his feelings are a blur,
all he is now is "a good friend" and a shoulder to cry on.
