(This was originally intended to be a poem, but it turned out to be an ode/ letter/ jerky piece-thing, sorry!)

I have no funny references, no inside jokes, to make this piece humorous, or interesting. Without any second thoughts, I can say that the both of us are completely different in every way possible. Our way of talking is different, our lives are different, our likes and dislikes are different; we even live on opposite sides of the globe. There is nothing we have in common to bring us together, apart from the fact that we are teenage girls with highly complicated lives.

Yet, sitting there across the world and just interacting with me with those sweet little comments, you have made a difference in my life like I never would have expected. You, though you may not know it, have encouraged me, inspired me, and given me the support to go on no matter what life throws at me. I have never seen you, yet you radiate an inner beauty that I can sense. I have never heard you speak, yet your each word is like refreshing music to my worn-out ears. In less than 6 months, I care for you like a friend of 6 years, because you mean so much to me.

From the time when I wrote my first poem (When YOU commented, gave me tips, advice and praise) till my latest (Which YOU recommended and faved), you have been an amazingly positive influence not only on my poetry, but my life. There are not enough words to express everything I have to say to you, yet here is my attempt on your birthday- Thank you Dasha, thank you so much for everything. You are an amazing poet, an amazing friend and an amazing person. Keep writing, keep living, keep loving, for we all love you to no end.

-M xoxo
