For All The World To See
It's funny how the world can see me
Bare and naked in this empty space
But I'm blind to everything, so unaware
I barely know the scars on my own face
I tried to dig a little deeper
To form a respectable parody of myself
I attempted some sort of understanding
Because I can see through everybody else
The world knows me
My own words expose me
How can you take apart everything
Am I blinding myself so heavily
The curses and blessings of being me
Where even tears don't come for free
The curses and blessing of poetry
Hiding away for all the world to see
I close my eyes and try to reflect inwards
But nothing appears through the mind's eye
I don't know what is behind the doors
I still don't know what's hidden inside
As I discover a little piece of myself
I realise it's just a teardrop in the sea
And as the barriers begin to melt
I still don't even know a thing about me
The curses and blessings of being me
Where even tears don't come for free
The curses and blessing of poetry
Hiding away for all the world to see
People can split my life like an atom
I'm still aware of nothing at all
I think something must be wrong
When I set my feelings out like a stall
The curses and blessings of being me
Where even tears don't come for free
The curses and blessing of poetry
Hiding away for all the world to see
