Some Woman, Yesterday

Some woman, yesterday
gathering dust in the corner of my mind
I can’t remember where she came from
or where she wanted to take me

I never think about her
because from what I know she hurt me
so I did my best to forget her
I can’t even recall her name

Some woman, yesterday
There’s nothing more to say
There’s nothing more to say

Some trouble, yesterday
best left unsaid and untouched
if I can move on then it wasn’t important
nothing worth getting worked up over

I’m young and free and I should be happy
cause God knows, it’s gonna get worse from here
But it’s not so bad now I have been reminded
the price I had to pay to try and feign ignorance

Some woman, yesterday
her picture is burning in the ashtray
her picture is burning in the ashtray

The End
