Talk About the Snow

It’s been a lovely few days talking to you
I haven’t felt so good about myself in ages
You always know exactly what to say
you’re to sweet to be so down on yourself honey

I am pretty content and you’re just pretty
I promise I will be the first to say hello next time
We’ll go for that drink sometime
and drown those sorrows as they come

Even if we sit and talk about the snow
just having you there means more than you’ll ever know
Even if we sit and talk about the rain
I’ll be on my way, jumping on that last train
It would make no difference
if we sat and said nothing at all

Did you get some shut eye last night?
well I guess that’s too bad
Yeah, I couldn’t sleep either
so what’s on your mind this early morning?

Even if we sit and talk about the snow
just having you there means more than you’ll ever know
Even if we sit and talk about the rain
I’ll be on my way, jumping on that last train
It would make no difference
if we sat and said nothing at all

Even if we sit and talk about the hail
it beats the dull nothingness and all that entails
Even if we sit and talk about the miserable weather
we’ll just take some free time out of this endeavour
But it would make no difference
if we sat and said nothing at all

The End
