Fires Inside

It's about going through very difficult times, with the odds stacked against you, and coming through it with your head held high and joy within your soul.

I feel the cold wind against my face

Stoking the fires within me

For the first time my eyes blaze into life

Listen to these words

Because the gods tremble above

I look inside myself

And I sharpen the steel within

I’ve walked through fire

And I survived

Purified, no longer buried alive by sin

I feel the approaching void on me

Fighting the fires within me

For the first time I dry my eyes

See my actions unfold

Because I will carve my will on the world

I look inside myself

And I sharpen the steel within

I’ve walked through fire

And I survived

Purified, no longer buried alive by sin

Look into my eyes

See me revived

So much more than you thought

Tomorrow I only grow stronger

The End
