Fire In the Sky

If my love for you was like a fire in the sky
Would you set your gaze upon it and hope we never die?
If my love for you was like a wave at sea
Would you be swept away into the deep green?

Well, I gaze upon you lying in this bed
And I remember the time you stared and said
If I were with you until the day I die
Would you look at the sun and find me in the sky?

So I let the ring slip on your hand
And we sealed the thing with contraband
And we smiled and were happy, we were loud and free
And I looked you in the eye and said, "This is me.

If my love for you was like a fire in the sky
Would you set your gaze upon it and hope we never die?
If my love for you was like a wave at sea
Would you be swept away into the deep green?

Well, my love for you was like a fire in the sky
And we stared upon it and hoped to never die
And my love for you was like a wave at sea
And we got swept away into the deep green

The End
