Feeding The Light
I stand in the city we loved so much
But a new chapter in my life, so many years later
But in the rain I suddenly change
I return to times more naive and beautiful than now
Can we sail into the distance
Fall in love again at the first instance
Can I show you your soul in the stars
Can I be the one to heal the scars
The lights duller than before
The colour fades to grey on the floor
I'm thinking as I look up at the constellations
My heart is barged by a strange sensation
Can we sail into the distance
Fall in love again at the first instance
Can I show you your soul in the stars
Can I be the one to heal the scars
Did you find someone better than us
Did he see that something was wrong
Are both happier and better apart
Or was the answer in our hearts all along
We've channelled our heartache into something ugly
We tried to forget our reminders, but the truth is real
I'm trying to live alone, to love one and a million souls
But only you can plug the abyss that exists
Only you can pour some light into this black hole
Can we sail into the distance
Fall in love again at the first instance
Can I show you your soul in the stars
Can I be the one to heal the scars
