Shadows on the Wall

Rooted as a plant to my
Bed, shadow as my ally;
She leans in and susurrates
As you saw; your eyes deceived
As it were; my eyes have grieved
Live in fear of them and me
The canyons: for you to fall
The prairies: where you can call
But listening ears fall deaf

Oh My Friend,

Black and white is all you've seen
There's so much more right between
And silver shines through the grey
As we saw; our eyes deceived
As it were; our eyes have grieved
I fear not your wariness
Though I must take my own path
You: I always know I hath
by my side in light and dark

The End
