Farmer's SorrowMature

He lays on his soft bed

Knowing his debt will never be met

He tries to think peacefully of what to do

Even though he knows his rent is due

His children begging on the streets

Though he knows he'll never make ends meet

He tires to pray and pray

But he know it'll never go astray

Being a farmer was fun

Now look at what he's become

He spends all his money on beer

Hurting those he holds most dear

His dog tries to help

But all he ever does is whelp

He sees a gun at his bed

And he thinks he'll do better dead.

The End
