It's easier to see him dead, as it was
than see him living, as it is now.

It's easier to block out his existence
than acknowledge what he really is

It's easier to run, eyes averted
than stand and look him in the eye

It's easier to remember his dead caring face
than see the hurt, through me, he's self-inflicted.
