Paternal Lament

Stumbling through life
in the stupor of grief

I've lost him,
he's gone.

My heart yearns for as it was,
My logic says "sigh" out of relief

I've lost him,
he's gone.

I knew him, loved him, miss him,
but I knew his mayhem and mischief

I've lost him,
 he's gone.

My logic shows he's living
He's dead, that's my heart's belief

The End
