Too Far
The dam bursts,
chaos ensues.
tears well up
and a river gushes forth
trembling as pain flows
tremors from my anger epicentre
harsh, indrawn breath
sobs rack mine soul
as the storm quells
brief words escape
"lying through her teeth"
then I'm washed away again.
Tears stop
Tremors calm
Sobs silence
but
Pain
Remains
in
my
Veins
