Fallen Angel

Tears of blood down a face carved of stone

Curled in the darkness I find myself alone

These torn wings show my fall from grace

They mark my descent into this dark place

A trail of fire burning through midnight skies

The heavens ablaze with the flames of all lies

That cannot be doused by the tears angels weep

We settle in darkness to await eternal sleep

Over time I shall freeze in this barren land

Guarding the tombs of those killed by my hand

Thrown down to hell from on high far above

Bloodstained wings once as pure as a dove

This is the place to which I was cast;

Where shadows still lurk and the light never lasts;

Where death will reign from the moment of birth;

Some call it hell, but I call it Earth.

The End
