Faithful Day Past

How my heart aches for a touch of the past

His warm touch, a big surprise

A tender kiss that made me feel alive

Does he not see my beauty inside

Are his images of me getting faded and cold

Are all promises forgotten that I was told

On that hot day in May outside a little church

Surrounded by dozens of cherry trees

A day my heart opened like the blossoms on the trees

I guess it is time to stop looking back

To that faithful day he married me

I keep trying to live this life

That makes me feel old

My heart I fear in time will grow cold
