Fairytales

I watched the stars burn,

Cascading down,

The death of light,

The end of heat.

I took a step,

Fell down the hole,

Lost myself,

And was found again.

I let myself go,

Found forbidden love,

I fought for you,

Then let you go.

The fairytales,

I heard of once;

I see in life,

Have only just begun.

But I know,

As they twist,

And they turn,

They'll come to haunt me once again.

The End
