Fading Memories
Fading.
Is it there anymore?
Has it vanished in the wake of a dispute?
Is it there anymore?
Has it dwindled inside of him?
Does he even feel it anymore?
Is it gone forever, or can it be reignited?
Does he even feel it anymore?
Is it there anymore?
Or am I holding onto a memory---
a mere little memory---that's long dead and gone?
Fading.
We've reached a plateau
and it's now slowly,
ever so slowly fading.
Fading...
It's not there anymore.
It has faded.
