Public Transit Man eight

Today's an even day

No couples either

A nice quiet group

Allows room to think

Signal and stop

The usuals

Stop light

I hate that

I hate odd numbers

Take the left onto 3rd street

Four more stops

Let the little boy cross

How young he is!

Reminds me of myself

When I was that age

Naive, free,

I bet he wants to be an astronaut

Maybe a firefighter

Or a doctor

Or something more heroic

Than a bus driver...

Let little old lady number two out

Nearly to the university now

Take the right onto Main

Six dreamers gone

Four more to go

Goodbye sad business man

Goodbye homeless woman

Goodbye newcomer

Goodbye restarauteur

Another familiar route

The End
