DoubtfireMature

Night was the place,
the time
to go
I could think, then
I could concentrate
on what was important
something infected in my head
a plague I was okay with
a dream I didn't want to end
I didn't know the answer
for awhile I didn't care
but on and off it came
and I never felt the same
I felt lost without the answer
yet I knew the answer was you
but I did not know
if I was your answer too
I stuttered, stumbled, and crept
craving to know
a tease had me scared
maybe I had lost my chance
if it had ever existed in the first place
but you were full of surprises
ready to tackle my doubts
and we were a blazing fire
waiting to happen
a lit match
with a cradled fire
and I'd never been happier
being wrong

The End
