I am the sin that travels on,

generation to generation,

poisoning the womb,

the taint in teenage bloom.

I am the wickedness in your heart that you hope isn’t there. 

I am the Eve,

the disgrace of the entire human race,

a weakness to the purity of mankind.

I am also the strength that carries on;

through poverty and pain I am force that maintains all that we are.

I am the Eve,

and I have been blamed for all our shame,

but I am ready to regain all the honor lost,

all that I am,

the purity reclaimed.
