The idea of this poem formed when I heard my school's jazz band practice the song "Europa", the namesake of the poem.

Oh Europa,

I sigh for you.

Earth's cry are you.

Heaven's smile are you.

Music forms your Soul.

You are the essence

of the boundary

between Earth

and Heaven.

Oh Europa,

I cry for you.

Earth cries for thee.

And Heaven has lost its smile.

And now, Hell hath risen.

Oh Europa,

where art thou?!

Where have you gone?

Oh Europa,

return to me, my love.

Return to me.

Where are you,

my Europa?

I wait for thee.

The End
