Eternal Redemption

"May your unfailing love come to me, LORD, your salvation, according to your promise." - Psalm 119:41

How long shall I bear the chains

That bind men and titans at will?

How long shall I endure the pains

Of the sin that dwells within still?

I have rejected Your wisdom, the Light

To the world which I was to portray;

I have embraced the long shadowy night,

The lair of the Deceiver I have inhabited to this day.

But the call from the Son I must

Not deny; The Rescuer of my soul

Fills me with His pure grace and trust

To once and for all make me whole!

The heart is hardened to granite;

The spirit is shattered by guilt,

But the Healer, with mercy infinite,

Shall have both utterly rebuilt!

Soli Deo Gloria! To Him is my praise!

I shall no longer fear the vile scourge of sin!

Now I shall rejoice as I tread His holy ways;

For now I have Life instead of bitter chagrin!
