The Commons

Ready to place the first key in the lock,
Dave approached the door and decided to knock.
There was no answer, but he couldn't resist
He first grabbed the doorknob and gave it a twist.

It turned! He knew it must be the wrong door...
The vault with the ring would be locked, he was sure.
But he opened it anyway, and to answer his fears,
A wave of loud noise bombarded his ears.

The room was gigantic! And filled with commotion!
So many leprechauns, like a vast living ocean!
They were shopping and mopping and hopping and plopping
but not one of them noticed that Dave was eavesdropping.
