The ring translated, to Dave's dismay

the puffballs will work for him, but only for pay

he had no gold, or so it seemed

but in his pocket, gold did gleam

Dave took this out, to his surprise

it was leprechaun gold, and it hurt his eyes

for brighter and brighter it did shine

till it burnt his hand, and Dave did whine.

Dave dropped it down, and the puffballs stood

they'd take the gold, he knew they would

they raced forward, and took it from him

then whispered to each other, watching him from their limbs

The ring said they accepted the deal,

But more conditions, they wanted a meal!!!

Now there was something that Dave couldn't do

although he did have an urge to go to the loo

The End
