Enjoy Your Life

©1995 Nick Robinson (FTH Ch 3, pg 26)

That's not you I see, that's not you in there

So don't be surprised if I don't care

The person I fell in love with

Faded away these last few years

And like my view

For my heart, the same is true

Everything I'd felt just disappeared

And these changes you've made

You've done in spite

Just to shove it in my face

But little do you know

It's the heart that makes you whole

And it'll be easy for someone else

To take your place

But some day you'll wake up

And come out of your dream

And maybe then, you'll see what I mean

'Cause when you're sharing your life

And things just don't go right

You don't  turn your back n grab the first cloth in site

Just to wipe your slate clean

So enjoy your life, whoever you are

I'll still watch you grow from afar

But don't do it to show how good you can be

'Cause you were never like that

When you were with me

The End
