Shattered dreams still remain,                                                                                                            a broken heart in heavy rain,                                                                                                             a true friend will take you through your pain,                                                                              they hope for less and not to gain,                                                                                                      and their friendship they wont take in vain.

Like a broken glass swept away,                                                                                                          or a love that slowly fades by day.                                                                                                     Like a friend that stays honest and true,                                                                                          or one that will always lie to you.                                                                                                        Like a best friend that  puts a smile on your face,                                                                        when others look down on you with disgrace,                                                                              or one that does something and wont let you know,                                                                  hoping that it would never show.

A promising friendship sure to last,                                                                                                    til promises fail and friendships past.                                                                                              Always thought it't be you and me,                                                                                                   best friends til eternity,                                                                                                                            now all a faded memory,                                                                                                                        seems what we had is now history.
