Losing You

I lost myself when I lost you.

My soul slipped away

And I clung to the world

Like a leaf falling from a tree.

It felt like my heart stopped beating-

My blood stopped flowing

The cold in the air seeped

Through my veins.

I was a ghost, drifting

Silent.

An empty body-

Lost- with no return.

But then a friend-

The only one who saw

Through my eyes- and my lies

And into the pain-

He took my hand

And he said to me

‘You’ve lost someone you love-

But don’t let us lose you.’

The day you left

You took me with you,

But I’m finding the world again.

Day by Day.

The End
