Emma
These lines fell through
From the mind's shore,
This song's to you,
These words are yours;
The choices you make
Are often lazy,
Decisions you take
Are sometimes hazy,
You can even bring,
To these failing eyes,
Night's dark, painful sting,
And end to this guise,
The sand in the hourglass,
Falls and falls, tick by tick,
And here I watch it pass,
Seconds slip, far too quick,
Running out,
With no time,
Making doubt
Too sublime,
And now I leave,
As soon will you,
To future, weave,
Set life askew,
But you are that star,
That sun at first light,
Bringing that red scar,
Of dawn from cruel night,
For you are that plant,
The flaring red rose,
Hearts you can enchant,
And awe you impose,
You are a swift dove,
With your peaceful flight,
In your trail walks love,
Magnificent sprite,
The smile you still send
Reaches my soul's fear,
Our laughter, my friend
Sings forever clear,
Your smile, eternal,
Wins this heart across,
Warms me, internal,
Bans my mood from loss,
Immortal beauty,
Presence and fine grace,
Are Fate's first duty,
To your daring space,
Cure my loneliness,
Send forth that harsh pain,
With your silliness,
Which retains full reign,
I love you so,
My shining friend,
More than you know,
And that won't end,
So now I sing this,
Sing the rose's song,
I sing of fair bliss,
To which you belong;
Your beauty is divine,
Your laughter is heartfelt,
Your love is brilliant,
And your friendship is pretty damn perfect.
