Dying Love

All of this poetry is from a message I sent to someone who is not a part of my life anymore. This is pure - no fancy metaphors or imagery.

Hey
Don't worry, this is the last time
What happened the other day confirms
we need to distance ourselves for a long time.

I hope everything's working out well for you sweetheart;
all I ever wanted was happiness for you.

Evidently, that's not going to happen if I'm in your life
It's still weird to me but I know nothing's ever gonna happen
so I'm gonna end all the silliness on my part and get on with it.

I hope everything's working out well for you sweetheart;
all I ever wanted was happiness for you.

You won't even see me again
You won’t even see me again

I hope we start talking again
without all the weirdness in a few months.

Goodbye sweetheart

The End
