Nothing but a Rant

I don't need a house in Spain

Or designer dresses

I'm not that vain

I see the poor child chained

To sew and toil on Nike trainers

And the starving bodies of famine and drought

To the live aid celebs I give a shout

Your hypocrisy makes me sick

Fancy homes, cars are slick

Give it all away if you care and you can

And join the ranks of the working man

Come join us who never cease to care

But can't afford or do not dare

To line the pockets of corrupt governments

Withholding aid and charging

For free mosquito nets

I don't ask that you give your money

Sitting here in our land of milk and honey

If we wake each day

Don't forget and fight a good fight

We may yet endeavour to make things right

The End
