Drowning

Stifled light, the blue bleeds white,

A cage of bones, lungs exploding, ribs

Broken; underwater wreckage.

Tangled in nothing, a dull suffocation,

A last ditch attempt; epileptic thrashing,

The surface doesn't even exist anymore,

A dimension all of its own.

A poison, a life-force, a death-trap,

Lungs collapsing, wither like pitiful flowers and

Drift into this world that roars in my eardrums,

A heartbeat,

A prison,

A drowning.

The End
