Drowning

Recommend

Deep

Dark;

Drowning.

Reach the top,

Gasp for air,

Only to slip back down

Into darkness.

Deep waters

That hold no mercy.

Treacherous currents

That push you forward,

Deeper.

Panic

Fills your lungs --

Breathing is

Impossible.

Arms flail and

Thrash about

As you try to 

Move up.

Up to land.

Then, sudden

Darkness.
