Drowning

I love you like nobody knows.
I can't even express how much in all this poetry and prose.
But I know you don't feel the same,
Nobody ever has, and it puts my heart to shame.
Everyday I drown a little deeper in your eyes.
Everyday my heart drowns a little deeper in it's own demise.
How can I feel two opposing things so completely?
I'm dying inside, oh so discreetly.
Because of the pain, I can no longer take a breath.
My love will be my death.
I know that now.
Please don't forget me, can you make that vow?

The End
