Dragons Be Here

They'll be back one day...

Your subconscious yet remembers
when dragons once ruled the sky.
They still spew their hot ejecta
across nightmares where they fly.

In olden days no man could tame
those snakes so vile and rude.
Their single-minded hot desire?
A lust for human flesh as food.

Too many hooded maidens
to the alter up were led.
in vain were they impaled by
the cruel horned serpent's head.

Too many noble armored heroes
failed to mar the awful beasts.
Slashing swords nor thrusting lance
could penetrate them in the least.

In fact the one and only reason
in modern days they can't be found,
is they gorged themselves too full
and they're hibernating under ground.

The End
