Down by the Lakeside

I was feeling musical. That's where this came from.

I’ve been down by the lakeside.
That’s where you found me.
I’ve been shooting at your great side.
At the freshwater see.

Color me blue,
You’d never know I’m choking.
Color me black,
You’d never know I’m smoking.
Color me surprised,
You’re never gonna save me.
Color me insane,
You know that I’m crazy.

I wanna go home. I wanna be where I belong.
I wanna finish up here and vanish, I’m gone.
Anything you wanna do, I think I understand,
So when you wanna find me, you already know where I stand.

I’ve been down by the lakeside.
That’s where you’ll find me.
A-shooting at your best side.
At the freshwater see.

Sucking back some whiskey.
You’d never know I’m drinking.
Sucking back some water.
You’d never know I’m sinking.
Gasping for breath,
You’d think I wasn’t breathing.
Pouring out red.
You’d see I was leaving.

I wanna go home, I wanna be, wanna be wanna be where I belong
Wanna finish up here, I wanna be gone.
Whatever you wanna do, I think I understand.
So when you wanna find me, You’ll know where I am.

Where I am…

Where I am…

Down by the river side.
That’s where you can find me.
I’ll be ready your best side.
At the Charles, I will be.

You wanna find me.
I’ll be where I belong.
You wanna find me.
I’ll be there all along.

You wanna find me,
By the Charles River, you’ll see.
I’m ready.

I’m ready.

I’m ready!

The End
