Double Edged

A short poem that examines the same object or idea from two perspectives - and how much the image can change between them.

Another man's pleasure is another man's pain.

Another man's loss is another man's gain.

Another man bought is another soul sold.

Another man's dream is another man's gold.

Another man's ghost is another man's life.

Another man's desire is another man's wife.

Another man's hope is another man's health.

Another man's obsession, another man's wealth.

When in the end,

it all depends,

On which side of the sword you're on.

The End
