Divided And Conquered

It's about how fickle disputes can lead to tragic consequences for those who try to do good

Where was the light we were promised, now broken

Where were the words we were promised, never spoken

Many times we find ourselves subjected to torment

Many times we found the remnants of our patience spent

The fire in our hearts flickers to cold smoke, dying hopelessly

We surrendered ourselves to destiny, defeated effortlessly

All these days of bravery wasted, turned to ashes and memories

All of our courage rendered useless now, only now pages in history

We gave our hearts

But all we can do now is fall

We gave our lives

Fighting even as we crawl

Striking at the dark heart of strange monsters, we can taste glory

Momentum swings back and forth between, changes in our history

But divided by etiquette and sentenced to death, suddenly fear arrives

It's too late to rescue the brave now, suddenly darkness comes to life

We gave our hearts

But all we can do now is fall

We gave our lives

Fighting even as we crawl

The End
