Dissolve Eternally

It's about someone who strives and works hard just to be a normal person, who tries to find that inner iron to succeed

He lays awake, unable to dream

Feeling life compress and strain

It’s fraying at the seams

He sings out loud, unable to soar

Scratching at the chalkboard

Locked behind the door

The home he knew, unfolding

Dissolving into an eternal light

Futures snuffed out, others burning bright

He’ll return home for the last time

He’ll finish what must be done tonight

He strains to hear, faded and worn

Fear and apprehension rested

Raising the iron to scorn

As the cities turn to rest

Jealousy engulfs many others

But he knew he passed the test

The home he knew, unfolding

Dissolving into an eternal light

Futures snuffed out, others burning bright

He’ll return home for the last time

He’ll finish what must be done tonight

The End
