DisillusionedMature

Waiting here in a collective calm
You ain’t been around as much as you used to
Maybe I was too forward, but that’s just me
I don’t like leaving it to chance
Yeah, I don’t see any future for us
I know you feel the same

I get annoyed too easily, fuck
it’s hard to get by without letting go
I never meant to those things I said
But it’s too late now, it’s done
Crossing into the same behaviour again
like I have done so many times before

Maybe we can meet sometime?
Before you decide to walk out of my life
Maybe we can speak of the crimes
that I have preached in our months together
It’s so hard to let it all die
It’s so hard to break down and cry

There will be others who can’t fill the void
it’s nothing to be worried about
Cause I don’t want to be near anyone
even if they persist, I’ll have to deny them
Despite all I have preached
there’s no love at the bottom of a bottle

Maybe we can meet sometime?
Before you decide to walk out of my life
Maybe we can speak of the crimes
that I have preached in our months together
It’s so hard to let it all die
It’s so hard to break down and cry

In years to come we’ll look back and laugh
Complain about the way we dressed
the bands we listened to now broken up
I need to get a job and find a new place
You’re moving in with the pretty boy
I find it oh so funny just to reminisce
that I felt that way in the past
I can’t stop thinking about how I was
and the positive things you’d come out with
the negativity I’d pronounce
I was so easy for you to denounce
Yeah...

The End
