Disillusion

Can’t sleep through the agony
prepare disillusion for self loathing vanity
Solemn deliberation sworn to pacify
breaking in my skin, so unworthy

Please just love me even if it is a lie
can’t rise from these barriers, suffocating
I can hear the footsteps with purpose
I always shudder as they pass over my burial

Degradation for a cold, used body of mine
sometimes I wish for discoloured flesh
Break down, her elusive escape
leave me trapped here, leave me scared to live

Just cut my throat
I am merely a poor animal to be put down
You have alluded to emotional denial
Corrupting slowly with feigned sympathy

The End
