Ghost of You

Your ghost wanders the house

Cooking, cleaning, wanting more.

Like falling in love with the swan

But marrying the goose.

How can I give her what she wants

When her touch goes

Right through me.

Her hug is cold, her kiss like ice.

She's like you, but she isn't you.

Ghost of you, forever in my mind

It destroys everything,

My own personal poltergeist

Throwing the plates and pans

Wishing you were here.

The End
