I've given up on you.
You've put up walls I cannot penetrate.
I can't undo what's been done.
Can't change your permanent fate.
You've created a creature
That I cannot fight.
My power is no match
For its terrible might.
You've written this story
I cannot erase.
Forever bound
To this eternal place.
The fighting is done
My war is lost.
A best friend gone
Such a terrible cost.
I've been defeated
So I lay down my arms.
Never again
To battle your charms.
I've given up on you.
I'm sorry I failed you.
