The Hospital

Desperately I looked around, but there was no one near at all.

The street was quite as dead as this poor lovely little girl.

She wore no information, just a sweater and a skirt

I must take her to the hospital - why did I find her first?!

I carried her body - cold and dead - back home and to my car,

and silently I drove the drive; it wasn't very far.

I carried her inside and wondered "Will they let me go?

Will they ask me questions, and what is there to know?"

The End
