Lost

Well I'm lost in the dark got nothing to do,
There's nothing left, there's nothing real,
These are lies on my lips, blood on my hands,
So many places to go, so much power to steal.

And you could stop me going if you even tried,
If you meant the words that so often you've cried,
And you could stop me going if you even saw my face,
But because you aren't looking, I'll be gone without a trace.

It is night time again when I do leave my home,
And I'm out in the woods where the bonfires glow,
Just black figures dancing, evil and real,
I thought when I died that at least I would know.

And you could stop me going if you even tried,
If you meant the words that so often you've cried,
And you could stop me going if you even saw my face,
But because you aren't looking, I'll be gone without a trace.

Now I lie on the ground, just a beast once again,
And you come to my side; it's time for me to die,
In your eyes there is darkness, the night is too bright,
And I've got no voice but I'm screaming at the skies - tell me why!

And you could stop me going if you even tried,
If you meant the words that so often you've cried,
And you could stop me going if you even saw my face,
But because you aren't looking, I'll be gone without a trace.

The End
