Glued to the Page

Divert your attention as I give you mine

Cryptically spilling what’s on my mind

Hoping I’ll know where to draw the line,

Though there’s nothing I can do.

"Avert your eyes as I say to you

That you are to me as I am to you.

Relentlessly, fruitlessly, you pursue,

Though there’s nothing you can do."

Traverse my thoughts and wait for yours,

Echoing, giving, inspiring more.

I trace the line and slam the door.

Well what else can I do?

"Reverse our obsessions and I think you'll find

Yours isn’t worse than mine."

The End
