The Future

There’s a future for me somewhere,

Out there among the stars;

I won’t be packing boxes,

I won’t be driving cars,

I’ll find a way to beat them;

I get my answer soon,

And all those dreams and wonders,

Will be here in the room.

I know they don’t believe me,

They think they’ve knocked me down,

But I’ve got friends who love me,

And they can change the frown.

So daydreams come and they go,

But here’s something I know:

That my future will be solid soon,

‘Cause power inside me grows.

The End
