Day of Days

We landed on the beach

The MG'S made an awful screech

There was barely any cover

We ran forever

We had to take the gun nest

The germans were quite a pest

We brought up the flamethrower

It was like a fire shower

The 88's were in the backround

They hit our boys with a flak round

A sniper hit our major

We returned the favour

I ordered the squad to fire

We shot at him with desire

We took that terrible rock

We captured Pointe Du Hoc.

The End
