Dare Not

It's about realising that trying to carry on a relationship that will only get worst

Music turned up but I'm stilling failing to drown out the demons

I'm feeling nothing but regret and guilt at the sermons

It's living in sin, I'm living without friends, but what's wrong with falling

It's louder still, and it's burning inside, but nothing's left but the hammer blow of stress

I'm pushed to distraction but it still lies stubbornly behind

Tossing and turning, ricocheting bullets across my mind

Stumbling in darkness, I couldn't possibly have been blind

Turn it up again, drink another shot again, could it be different this time

It's over and I'm worn out but not upset

Dragging beyond natural expiration, exploration can only break us further

I could not, I dare not

Being happy lasts a second with me

It's grinding away and shatters my sanity to pieces

Thrown around, it's over, victim to an unseen telekinesis

More dreams and new places, give rise to forbidden faces

Hesitating and awaiting the fall, giving us the chance to lose again our graces

Happily, the pieces of my heart will fall in place

We had our time and had our fun

Putting love to the sword and the barrel of the gun

Moving back in time and no ones to blame

It's over and I'm worn out but not upset

Dragging beyond natural expiration, exploration can only break us further

I could not, I dare not

Being happy lasts a second with me

The End
