Cue The ChorusMature

This poem has its own restrictive structure that I sort of allowed to come into shape on its own. I didn't start with an ending or even much of a beginning, just focused on the inspirational energy that I had at the time, that's what compelled me to write.

NO,
don’t think (1

GO,
don’t sink (2
in the tar pit (2

SLOW,
‘bout to trigger (3
a heart attack n’ hit (3
the target, eh, forget it (3

I FORGET HOW TO FORFEIT, HOW UNFORTUNATE,
four) sea horses swam your seashore, (4
for) I foresee more horseshit, (4
for) sure, we’re in store (4
for) a downpour (4

A TOTAL WASTE
5) a woeful embrace
5) CUE THE CHORUS
5) a bleary eyed face like
5) I’d thought I’d died, shot
5) like a dog, I simply forgot

ABOUT YOU, I FORGOT YOU
6) can’t cut down a forest
6) where glorious life forages
6) n’ gorges on its very own fruit,
6) grown rich n’ luscious leaf to root,
6) a village of torches stirs certain forces
6) CUE THE CHORUS , death, don’t leave

me destitute, (7

being kind defines (7
a divine being, being (7
killed blind, healed fine (7
n’ I’m finally seeing for the (7

first (7
time (7

The End
