coward's sword

We have all it requires to defend ourselves right at arms length but if we fail to use those resources we are as good as dead with our "swords" dying with us.

Much afraid to step through this dark

But my sword was too secure in its case

I pretend like im and home and safe

But my heart would not stay at ease

I took one step here with too much caution

And stumbled in the suffocating embrace of death

I cried out but no one heard my voice

I was a lost soul fed to the ground

My sword went down, never able to defend

Lying like a coward next to my aimless body

The End
